I always say "I don't have time" ...or, "I didn't have time"...when it comes to just about anything. Im a self proclaimed starter. Innovative individual. I always come up with the "great idea" ...and to credit myself, I do go forward with the "great idea" for a bit. Maybe a little while...until the "great excuse" rears its ugly head.
I didn't finish or properly execute the "great idea" because, "I [just] didn't have time."
...And this is a pressing subject to me, because I generally DO have time. Yet, the time I should be using to fulfill these duties ends up being the time I spend curled up on my couch watching reruns of Real Housewives, eating loaded baked potatoes and fiddling with my Nook (which I must note, the Nook is one of the most wonderful non-smartphone creations I've laid hands on in a while)
But either way, Im saying it right now, right here, at 11 am, Jan 3. (unfortunately 2 days after the date when you're actually suppose to make crucial yearly descisions but alas...) I will make it a point to forgo all excuses in 2012.
Actually... I take that back. I will make it a point to take 3 major ideas or things I've "started" and in 2012 I will execute these three ideas/things, and will NOT make any excuses. Jacking "all" into "three" seems more plausible. Maybe I'll condense it to, 2 small ideas per month and 1 big idea per fiscal quarter. Hmmm, I have to work out some kinks.
Theres a lot I clearly haven't decided on yet. But, for now, I'm going to start putting my plan into action and finish what I started 2 minutes ago, and that is this Mrs. Fields chocolate chip cookie.
